Community Message – Youths Lamping in the Field

Good morning 

Your local beat officers were on patrol last night when we’ve received reports of young people lamping (using powerful torches) in the local fields during the evening and night.

This behaviour is dangerous and inappropriate, particularly due to:

Parents and guardians are asked to speak with their children about the risks and ensure they know where they are and what they are doing, especially after dark.

We will continue to monitor the area and deal with any incidents appropriately. Please report ongoing issues via 101 or online. In an emergency, always call 999.
